- Holds graduate, post graduate degrees in varied disciplines in Arts, Science and Management. Therefore, all round improvement of teachers and students can be ensured by organising proper training and development activities under guidance.
- He served in the Armed Forces for 28 years from 1969 to 1997 in various capacities. Most of his service in the army was on “Administration, Training and Development” of officers and men placed under him. He has taught at various levels in Army schools and colleges. He participated in 1971 Indo-Pak War. He was also a member of IPKF (Indian Peace Keeping Force) Sri Lanka.
- Col’s Calibre, a Training and Development organisation, dedicated to English Language Teaching based on a clear strategy and well laid down Language drills, was founded by him in 1997. Col’s Calibre is considered to be the ‘MARKET LEADER’ in training aspirants for International English Tests like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and OET.
- In addition to advanced Communicative English, the organisation imparts “Soft Skills” to professionals and students.
- A large number of awareness seminars have been conducted in schools and colleges to help the youth, communicate well. These seminars have always been well received.
- The team has a very large number of trainers recruited and trained in our strategy and drills, to be effective as a team. This expertise can effectively be used for training teachers of all subjects.
- Col’s Calibre has trained a very large number of professors, teachers, doctors, other paramedical professionals, Civil Services Officers and students in the past 27 years.
About Us
Col’s Calibre, the market leader in Coimbatore (established in 1997), is the ‘BRAIN CHILD’ of Col P Jeyaraj (Retd) who has more than 35 years of experience in ‘Training and Development’ activities. It has trainers specially trained, some by The British Council, on various aspects of English training, Personality Enhancement, IELTS (International English Language Testing System), TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), PTE (Pearson Test of English) and OET (Occupational English Test).
We have the reputation of producing Band 7 and above in IELTS and 108 Points and above in TOEFL consistently. We are proud that we are able to attract professionals from all parts of Tamil Nadu and other States. We have professionals specifically ‘flying in’ from Malaysia, Singapore, the Gulf, Columbia, Sudan, Yemen, Iran and Comoros regularly for doing Communicative English, IELTS and other international English tests – training here.
We have the most systematic approach to English language teaching and IELTS training for bringing the participants to their best in a very short time. We are Pioneers in designing and implementing PSI (Personalized System of Instructions). We have our centre which is approximately 5500 sq. ft at NVN Layout, New Siddhapudur, Gandhipuram, the heart of Coimbatore. We have trainers recruited and trained in our ‘Strategy & Drills’ to suit our requirements.
Our credentials can be verified by perusing some of our IELTS results. We have produced even Band 9/9 in Speaking, Reading and Listening many times which is truly ‘World Class’.
